Trash Piled in Ciliwung River Cleaned

Trash piled in Ciliwung river cleaned by 50 officer comprised Cleanliness Worker Unit (UPK) for Water Management of Jakarta Cleanliness Department on Friday (11/20).

This is because the rivers located in both sub-districts thus officers are sent from the same sub-districts. 10 officers do sweeping using boat

Ciliwung River in Kwitang Strewn with Trash

Supervisor of Central Jakarta Water Management, Parri Andiko stated those personnel are from two sub-districts with details of 20 personnel from Senen Sub-District and Menteng Sub-District by 30 personnel.

The officers are spread to conduct sweeping the river using boat.

"This is because the rivers located in both sub-districts thus officers are sent from the same sub-districts. 10 officers do sweeping using boat," he expressed, Friday (11/20).

Although the officers had difficulties to clean up the river from mud, but they continue to work hard and managed to transport one sack of trash.

"Another problem is our vehicle has difficulty to enter the citizen residential thus we do trash transportation manually by directing trash to the next Gunung Agung Store, and then transported to truck," he disclosed.
